On Feb. 28, Oglethorpe will celebrate International Study Abroad Day, a day devoted to bringing awareness of study abroad and its lasting impact on students, campuses, and the global community.
Held annually on the last Monday of February, Study Abroad Day builds on International Education Week in November.
Join Oglethorpe’s Global Education team, Global Ambassadors, and former study abroad students in the Turner Lynch Campus Center from 11 a.m.- 2 p.m. to learn more about study abroad opportunities, scholarships, and benefits.
The day’s activities also include an international-themed pop-up book stand and signature coffee drinks — a collaboration between Global Education, Philip Weltner Library, and the Oglethorpe coffee shop.
The Global Education department also hosts weekly events to help students learn about study abroad scholarship opportunities and connect through experiences, cultural interests, and intercultural learning. OU’s Global Education encourages students to participate in global learning experiences, including study abroad — and helps find a way for all students to make global learning a part of their OU education.
During the Spring 2022 semester, 16 Oglethorpe University students are studying abroad at universities like the University of Oxford, Florence University of the Arts, Korea University, and more!
