Over the summer, Oglethorpe staff were hard at work renovating and updating student spaces. With move-in day and the first week of classes just around the corner, Oglethorpe has unveiled some new campus improvements for students to enjoy!

Stormy Brews

New to the Turner Lynch Campus Center game room is the brand new coffee shop Stormy Brews, serving the Atlanta-based Dancing Goats Batdorf & Bronson specialty-roasted coffees and teas. Additionally, Stormy Brews will serve a rotation of specialty drinks including bubble teas and smoothies along with an assortment of healthy food options.

Each student has a $100 credit, or “Munch Money” on their Petrel Pass to use at Stormy Brews, food trucks, concession stands and pop-up shops around campus!

Campus Store

The Campus Store has stocked up on new items including hoodies, shirts, tumblers, umbrellas, athletics merch and fun novelty items! The Hammack School of Business also has new hats and polo shirts available now.

The Petrel’s Nest

The Petrel’s Nest — the campus dining hall — has also received some recent additions. New digital signage displays menus, upcoming events and specialty meals hosted throughout the semester. The first of these events is September 1 at 12 noon. Stop by The Petrel’s Nest to celebrate the first week of school and collect free giveaways!

The serving stations have been upgraded to accommodate more food options, improve the flow of traffic and enhance food safety practices.

Water Refill Stations

Lastly, water refill stations have been added all over campus to provide an eco-friendly and hygienic solution for hydrating campus. Don’t forget to bring your water bottle!
