In a creative twist on live performance, Oglethorpe University Theatre will present an original, virtual program titled Cultivating Brave Spaces: an exploration of race, equity and visions for the future.
Performed live and completely online, Cultivating Brave Spaces is a show that explores the emotions and experiences of younger generations during the current period of social unrest in America. Written by 11 Oglethorpe students, the play uses Jesmyn Ward’s The Fire This Time as inspiration to tell a story about what it means to be yourself.
The play is a bold and unfiltered message about identity, culture and what it means to just BE. Will you listen to what these students have to say?
Cultivating Brave Spaces: an exploration of race, equity and visions for the future is available to view on YouTube until the end of the semester.
