Dorm Room Fund

Oglethorpe University is highlighted in the recently-released 5-Year Report from Dorm Room Fund, a student-run venture fund backed by First Round.

Jonathan Allen ’19, a Business Administration major, founded research platform Gauge in 2016. DRF funded Gauge in August 2017, citing how impressed they were with Jonathan, a solo founder with “unmatched grit” who has “achieved more than many founding duos and trios in the early stages.”

Having received funding as an undergraduate, Jonathan adds Oglethorpe to the list of only 43 colleges and universities in the world to be a part of DRF’s $1 billion portfolio valuation. Other institutions include Ivy League members, Stanford University, University of California Berkeley, New York University and Carnegie Mellon University.
