Oglethorpe helps “save the world” on new show

If you thought you recently caught a glimpse of some familiar Gothic facades while channel surfing, you were (probably) right.

ABC’s new fall show Kevin (Probably) Saves the World, starring Jason Ritter and JoAnna Garcia-Swisher, used Oglethorpe’s beautiful scenery as a television backdrop. The Philip Weltner Library and turf field were heavily featured in the debut season’s third episode, “Sweet Little Lies.”

Kevin (Probably) Saves the World is about a down on his luck man who has just moved back to his hometown to live with his sister and niece. However, a spiritual being comes to Kevin claiming God wants him to save the world, and he begins to find his purpose. No matter how confusing it may be.

You can keep up with Kevin Tuesday nights at 10 pm on ABC.
