The 2023 edition of Research.com Best College rankings was released this week and places Oglethorpe University among the Best Colleges in Atlanta and Georgia.

Oglethorpe is also recognized as a Best Value College and one of the Most Popular, according to the university’s profile.

Research.com rankings are based on national data sources, including IPEDS and College Scorecard, as well as questionnaires submitted by universities and the analysis of 400+ metrics for each institution, including those related to faculty-to-student ratio, teaching quality, student support, and quality of life on campus and nearby amenities.

The report is intended “to aid students in their college selection process, taking into account academic excellence, range of degree programs, affordability, and return on investment as key factors.”

In addition to annual rankings, Research.com is focused on improving the quality and visibility of research, providing visibility to leading researchers, and offering resources in support of research, including their database of leading scientists, conferences and journals.

The Research.com rankings follow similar accolades for Oglethorpe this year from Princeton Review, U.S. News and Washington Monthly in their annual lists of higher education institutions across the country.
