The Princeton Review names Oglethorpe University to 2024 ‘Best Colleges’ list

The Princeton Review has once again recognized Oglethorpe University as one of the Best Colleges in the South.

The well-known education services company included Oglethorpe in its 2024 Best Colleges: Region by Region — recommended schools that are “academically outstanding and well worth consideration” in a college search.

Oglethorpe is among just 109 colleges in the Southern states to make the list. A total of 630 colleges across the country are included within seven regions: Northeast, South, Southwest, Midwest, West, and International. The schools in each region are listed in alphabetical order and not ranked.

The company considered data from its survey of administrators at several hundred colleges in each region, information from staff visits to schools over the years, and the opinions of college counselors and advisors whose perspectives the company solicits.

The Princeton Review also surveys students about their campus experience, asking them to rate their colleges on dozens of topics and to answer questions about themselves, their fellow students, and their campus life. Survey topics include overall campus quality of life and safety, as well as quality of teaching and professor accessibility.

Founded in 1981, the Princeton Review is an education services company known for its tutoring, test prep, college admissions services, search books and other student resources.
