Oglethorpe professor discusses the ‘art of teaching’ on WABE radio

Assistant Professor of Art Christina Price Washington was featured on Atlanta’s NPR station WABE in an installment of “The Art of Teaching,” a series from “City Lights” hosted by Lois Reitzes.

“The Art of Teaching” features Georgia educators whose dedication and creativity make a lasting impact on students, often turning their passions into professions.

Washington received her MA and MFA from Georgia State University and BFA from Atlanta College of Art. She joined Oglethorpe as a lecturer of art in 2017. Her work was previously featured at the High Museum of Art and the Atlanta History Center

Washington spoke on the courses she teaches, how she approaches teaching certain photography elements, and her technique as a photographer.
