FAFSA for 2023-2024 financial aid now available

The Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) for the 2023-2024 academic year opened on October 1.

Completing the FAFSA is required to be eligible for federal grants and loans, such as the Pell Grant and Stafford Loan. Submission of the FAFSA can also be used to receive state awards, such as Hope and Zell Miller funding, as well as need-based scholarships from Oglethorpe and to be eligible for federal work study on campus.

To complete the FAFSA, visit studentaid.gov and follow the instructions, based on whether you are a new or a returning user. Be sure to include Oglethorpe’s school code: 001586.

Students who have DACA status or are undocumented, international, or cannot complete the FAFSA for any other reason are invited to complete an internal student financial aid application. For students who are currently experiencing financial hardship, Oglethorpe offers Emergency Assistance Funding.

Oglethorpe’s Financial Aid office staff is ready to assist with any questions you may have! Please reach out to them at [email protected]. You can also sign up for Oglethorpe’s on-demand FAFSA and Financial Aid 101 webinar to learn how to streamline the process.
