In a welcome return to Oglethorpe traditions, the Boar’s Head celebration — complete with musical performances, carols and an introduction of the newest members of Omicron Delta Kappa — was held in the Conant Performing Arts Center last Friday, Dec 3.  This was the 77th Boar’s Head, an annual staple of the OU holiday season.

Before the concert, Oglethorpe alumni were invited to attend “Cocktails on the Quad,” a gathering that jumpstarted the night’s festivities. The night saw alumni of all years come together to celebrate this OU tradition.

The concert was followed by a holiday party celebration in a spacious, heated open-air tent on the quad. The theme for this year’s party was “Enchanted Forest,” which was fully realized with fairy dancers, flower crowns and glowing trees. Students, faculty and staff flocked to the tent after the concert to enjoy food, music and holiday cheer.
