#GivingTuesdayNow inspires generosity

On May 5, Oglethorpe joins other nonprofits and communities around the world in celebrating Giving Tuesday Now, a day of giving and global unity in response to unprecedented need caused by COVID-19.

Founded in 2012, Giving Tuesday is meant to inspire generosity, citizen engagement, and support for the organizations that are special to our communities.

“We each have the power to make an impact with acts of generosity, no matter how small, and to ensure the sustainability of organizations and services that are crucial to the care and support of our communities,” said Asha Curran, CEO of GivingTuesday.

“[This] is a chance for us to stand united and use grassroots generosity to show that we are all in this together, beginning to end.”

Generosity gives everyone the power to make a positive change in the lives of others and is a fundamental value anyone can act on.

Now more than ever, we are called to make a difference. In fact, that is what Oglethorpe is about: ‘Make a Life. Make a Living. Make a Difference.’

At Oglethorpe, gifts of all sizes have an impact. Through your generosity, we are able to continue supporting our campus community where and how it’s needed most.

Thank you for supporting the Oglethorpe mission through your philanthropic gift.
