5 ways to prepare for online learning

Remember, classes resume online Monday, March 23. Here are five ways to prepare for online learning:

Moodle

Log in, make sure that your notifications are on. Click on the drop down next to your profile picture, choose preferences, user account and “Notification Preferences”.

Zoom

Many professors will use zoom to hold live class sessions or provide recorded lectures. Download the zoom client now at zoom.us/download and click on “zoom client for meetings”. You can test your audio setting by going to zoom.us/test.

Microsoft

Get in the habit of checking your Oglethorpe email several times per day. Many faculty will communicate this way and you will be expected to read and respond to emails and instructions. Also, consider downloading the Microsoft Office Lens app to scan handwritten work that will be submitted.

Helpdesk

The Helpdesk is here to assist with technical issues you may experience with Moodle, email and more. Take out a ticket to get help by sending an email to [email protected].

Library

For any questions about accessing resources, citations, or your library account, email [email protected]. All resources are available at library.oglethorpe.edu.
