Women’s golf goes wire to wire at Chick-fil-A Collegiate for first full tournament victory in program history
The Oglethorpe women’s golf team secured the program’s first-ever victory in a full-field tournament Tuesday, completing a wire-to-wire win at the Chick-fil-A Collegiate Invitational in Rome with a 19-over-par 307 on Tuesday to secure a 2-stroke win over Division II Shorter and a 6-stroke win over their nearest Division III competitor, third-place Centre.

Men’s Cross Country
Sophomore Aidan Goldston of the Oglethorpe men’s cross country team has been named the SAA Men’s Cross Country Runner of the Week for his efforts in the Stormy Petrels’ second-place finish at the Berry Invitational in Mount Berry on Saturday.
The Oglethorpe men’s cross country team finished second Saturday morning at the Berry Invitational in northwest Georgia. The Stormy Petrels showed well in their final tune-up before the SAA Championships, scoring 66 points and besting every team in the field other than regional power Emory, including Division I Chattanooga and SAA foes Berry, Sewanee and Millsaps.
The Oglethorpe volleyball team got off to a good start in their match with the Rhodes Lynx Sunday afternoon at Dorough Field House, taking the first set 26-24. However, Rhodes ran off three sets in a row after that to win 3-1 and spoil Senior Day for the Stormy Petrels.
The Oglethorpe volleyball team played three tight sets with the visiting Hendrix Warriors Saturday afternoon inside Dorough Field House, but the Warriors won all three en route to a 3-0 win.
