Kiplinger has released its annual ‘Best College Values’, putting Oglethorpe on its list of U.S. colleges and universities that offer “a high-quality education at an affordable price”.

Oglethorpe is among 149 private liberal arts colleges on the list of 500 public and private institutions nationwide.

Kiplinger evaluates academic measures, including the student-to-faculty ratio, the test scores of incoming freshmen, the percentage of students who return for sophomore year, graduation rates, and graduating students with financial need. They also consider cost and financial aid measures, like tuition sticker prices, generous financial aid, and low student debt at graduation, among others.

Kiplinger, a Washington, D.C.-based publisher of business forecasts and personal finance advice, began ranking colleges on best value twenty years ago.
