Sophomore forward Will Koch of the Oglethorpe men’s basketball team was named the SAA Player of the Week Monday by the league office, marking the first time in his career that the Stormy Petrel forward earned the honor.
The team would win both its games over the weekend homestand. It blew out Rhodes on Friday before avenging a loss to Hendrix Sunday. The win moved the Petrels into third place in the conference and over .500.

Also rallying for a win over a team it lost to last weekend, the women’s basketball team topped Rhodes after getting out to a 16 point lead early. It would also clean-up again Hendrix on Sunday.
