Oglethorpe intern wins Enterprise’s “Hustle Award”

Olivia Roberson ’19

Atlanta is home to one of Enterprise Holdings’ largest group headquarters, with more than 2,000 employees and a robust internship program. This summer, Oglethorpe business administration major Olivia Roberson ’19 distinguished herself among those interns.

As part of their internship experience, Enterprise hosts an Intern Presentation Day, during which summer interns share their ideas for improvements within the car rental company. Roberson and her team members gave a presentation of their recommendations for earning extra revenue by focusing on detailing fees, drop box fees and personnel scheduling.

During the event, Enterprise also gave out four awards to recognize outstanding interns in the program. Roberson earned the “Hustle Award” for being the top ticket writer with 418 tickets—or customer interactions.

“Olivia was recognized out of approximately 40 interns from larger schools like UGA, Kennesaw, and Georgia Southern,” said A_LAB Director and Assistant Provost Beth Concepción, Ph.D., who attended the presentations. “It’s a real testament to her preparedness for excelling in a professional training environment—an experience that will benefit her future career.”

Oglethorpe’s Atlanta Laboratory for Learning helps students to map out their real-world experiences during their time at Oglethorpe, combining internships, study abroad, civic engagement and undergraduate research. Roberson also has been active in the A_LAB, serving as an Alternative Spring Break trip leader.
