President Schall among top leaders featured in Atlanta Business Chronicle

The Atlanta Business Chronicle has once again named Oglethorpe University President Larry Schall among its Who’s Who in education, an annual top 100 list of leaders at colleges, universities and schools in metro Atlanta.

The business publication noted that “under Schall’s leadership, Oglethorpe has doubled net assets while reducing total debt by 43 percent; increased annual revenues by 65 percent; increased the endowment by 148 percent and grown enrollment by 48.5 percent. In 2017, Oglethorpe received the largest gift in the university’s history, $50 million to establish the Q. William Hammack Jr. School of Business, due to open in 2019.”

Schall, the 16th president of Oglethorpe University, was elected in 2005 and is currently the longest serving sitting college or university president in Georgia.
