Listen: Recent Oglethorpe grad interviewed on WABE/NPR radio

Caleb Logan ’18 was a guest on today’s Closer Look with host Rose Scott, sharing his experiences as a first generation college graduate. He was joined at the live, in-studio roundtable by other recent grads from Emory University, Georgia State, and Georgia Tech.

Sociology major who also studied English and Comparative Literature, Logan is an aspiring playwright, a passion he discovered during a class with Professor Jessica Handler. While at Oglethorpe, he served as President of Black Student Caucus, Vice President of the Student Safety Advisory Committee, a Resident Assistant, and worked as a Lead Ambassador in the Admission office. Logan was the recipient of the 2018 Algernon Sydney Sullivan Award, one of Oglethorpe’s top awards, which honors those who put service above self.

During the interview, Logan thanked his parents and Oglethorpe staff Jessica Winestock, civic engagement coordinator, and Joseph Lewis, director of special events.
