Study: Atlanta one of top 3 places to start career

wallethubThinking about starting your career in Atlanta? Good instincts.

Atlanta is one of the top places in the country for recent grads entering the job market, according to personal finance website WalletHub.

In order to determine the best cities in which to launch a career, the study compared 182 cities across two key dimensions, “Professional Opportunities” and “Quality of Life.” WalletHub evaluated the two dimensions using 27 relevant metrics, including housing affordability, entry-level job opening, income growth rate and more, to grade the cities’ most favorable conditions for job market entrants.

Atlanta came in behind only Salt Lake City and Orlando at the top of the list. Atlanta scored especially well overall in the “Professional Opportunities” dimension, as well as in most entry-level jobs and monthly average starting salary adjusted for cost of living. The city also ranked 11th overall in the “Quality of Life” dimension.
