The 2018 Algernon Sydney Sullivan Award winner Caleb Logan ’18, with President Schall
The Sullivan Award is one of Oglethorpe’s finest awards given to two graduating seniors annually, and a member of the community. For more than 125 years, the Algernon Sydney Sullivan and Mary Mildred Sullivan Awards have honored those who put service above self. That spirit was the driving force in the lives of the Sullivans, and the awards bearing their names recognize those who keep that spirit alive today. Sullivan Awards are highly prized and have been won by people whose lives of service have changed the world with little fanfare, as well as those who have become household names. Recipients include First Lady Eleanor Roosevelt, television icon Fred Rogers, and Supreme Court Justice Lewis Powell.

Congratulations to the 354 Oglethorpe students whose academic performance during the 2017 fall semester merited recognition on the Dean’s Academic Honors List! This list celebrates students who achieved at least a 3.50 term grade-point average, while earning 12 or more semester hours. “We are very proud of you!”
