Active Shooter Training by Brookhaven Police Department

active shooterAs a result of recent events, many citizens have asked what individuals can do to protect themselves and reduce the dangers faced during an active shooter event. These types of events are often unpredictable and evolve quickly. In the midst of chaos, anyone can play an integral role in mitigating the impacts of an active shooter incident. The Brookhaven Police Department aims to enhance preparedness through a “whole community” approach by providing products, tools, and resources to help you prepare for and respond to an active shooter incident. This class was developed an an easy to remember method for individuals to follow.

Brookhaven Police Department will host a training on Civilian Response to Active Shooter Events Tuesday March 27th at 7pm in Lupton Auditorium.

This is the 4th time BPD has hosted this training on our campus. We are opening this free training up to faculty, staff, and the broader community, space will fill up so please register via this link:
