Want to drive with petrel pride and support Oglethorpe University everywhere you go?

Time may be running out to adorn your car with an official Oglethorpe license plate available from the state of Georgia.

Featuring the university seal with historic Lupton Hall, the plate will only be available to purchase through November 30, 2018—unless the Oglethorpe community can reach the goal of 200 new orders during that time.

If the quota is not met, Oglethorpe vanity plates will be discontinued. Existing plate renewals will not be affected.

Not only will you be showing love for the Stormy Petrels, but a portion of the proceeds from the license plate sales go directly to supporting Oglethorpe scholarships.

Need more incentive? Oglethorpe students, faculty and staff who place new orders for license plates between February 26, 2018-November 30, 2018 will receive a $25 Starbucks gift card to offset the manufacturing fee. Just show proof of purchase of a new plate to our Controller Mark Berger on the lower level of Lupton Hall.
