Oglethorpe University was listed by The Student Loan Report among the nation’s best private colleges in providing financial aid to freshman.

Hundreds of private institutions across the country were measured and evaluated based solely on the average financial aid awarded to freshmen.  Financial aid was defined as federal student loans, education grants and scholarships awarded to need-based, first-time, full-time students.

The data for this report comes from Peterson’s Financial Aid dataset and pertain to the academic year of 2015-2016.
