Oglethorpe welcomed Senator Johnny Isakson (GA-R) to campus for an event that celebrated national Constitution Day and connected our political past, present, and future.

Senator Isakson spoke on the topic of foreign policy and officially opened the permanent exhibition of the John and Camilla Comerford Collection: Political Memorabilia (1933-2012) in the Weltner Library. The collection, donated by James and Camilla Comerford to the Oglethorpe Archives, includes more than 20,000 items spanning the campaigns of President Franklin D. Roosevelt to President Barack Obama.
