Dr. Kendra King Momon, associate professor of politics, was invited to sit in as a live on-air anchor on CNN (domestic & international) on June 18th, to discuss the previous evening’s tragic shooting at Emanuel African Methodist Episcopal Church in Charleston, S.C. The two-hour segment covered a variety of issues from the church’s rich history, to the advocacy by the late Rev. Clementa Pinckney, a state senator, on behalf of police officers wearing body cameras.
