Follow Along as Oglethorpe’s Maccaglia Competes in 2014 Palmer Cup

Maccaglia_photo_870x490Oglethorpe men’s golf junior Anthony Maccaglia became the first Division III golfer in history to make the Palmer Cup squad team back in April, and he’ll compete in the international event starting on Thursday, June 26 from the historic Walton Heath Golf Club in Surrey, England.

The Palmer Cup features the top collegiate golfers from the United States battling those from Europe in a Ryder Cup-style format, which features foursome, four-ball and singles competition.

Foursome matches will commence Thursday morning at 2:30 a.m. Eastern (7:30 a.m. Greenwich Mean Time [GMT]), while four-ball matches will start later that day at 8:30 a.m. Eastern (1:30 p.m. GMT). Friday and Saturday will consist of singles matches and action on both days will get started at 4 a.m. Eastern (9 a.m. GMT).
